Dr. Richard Nguyen graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School.  He then completed his post-doctoral training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry where he received training by specialists in root canal therapy, gum surgery, oral surgery, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. After that, he expanded his dental education by completing a year comprehensive training in implant dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.  He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology and has accumulated over 800 hours of dental implant continuing education.  Additionally, he has completed 2 years of orthodontic seminar education.  He is a currently member of the Academy of General Dentistry and also the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Nguyen and his family moved to Houston in 1991 from Virginia and he later graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin with the Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He is a proud Houstonian and is very grateful to serve patients with comprehensive dental care for a lifetime of smiles.

Today with the advancements in dental technology and the media, patients are being more dentally educated, making them more aware of their appearance and of their treatment options.  An example of this are the extreme makeover shows which have allowed patients to see how cosmetic dentistry combined with other medical disciplines can change more than a person’s appearance.  These changes also increase a patient’s health as well as self-confidence therefore improving their over-all quality of life.
